EIWEI 6L Ultrasonic Cleaner of Dual Power with Degas Function (CD-E6)

This machine did a great job cleaning my Holley carburetor parts. Easy to use, heating elements works good, and I love the results.

Boy do I wish I had bought one of these years ago. After seeing a Youtube video that mentioned using an ultrasonic cleaner to clean automotive parts, I figured it was worth a shot. Some before and after pictures are attached to this review. The most important thing to realize in these pictures is that I did ZERO prep to these parts before putting them in the cleaner - I just pulled them off the engine and plopped them in the ultrasonic cleaner.The heater takes about 10 minutes to get up to temp, so your first run might not be that productive. The parts you see here all ran for around 3 15-minute runs (about 45 minutes total). All I used was water with a splash of degreaser.The parts cleaner has a valve on the side to help drain out the dirty (filty) water. I found that it works best to run all the parts through to get them semi-clean, then change the water to do the final clean. Obviously if you are cleaning the parts in filthy water there is a point where they won't get any cleaner.The only real down side to the parts cleaner is it has an annoying loud hum - it's not the type of thing you would want in your kitchen (I know because that's where I tested it).My advice would be to get a size bigger than you think you will need - knowing how well this works now I wish I had gotten the largest version. The 6L version I have only allows for a few parts at a time - you don't really want them touching each other if possible.Overall this is a FANTASTIC tool for cleaning filty automotive parts - I highly recommend!

The EIWEI 6L quality was well made and controls easy to use. I mostly use this unit to clean my 3D parts. I put a 5W Mini Submersible Water Pump to agitate the water to clean any support material that is left. I run a batch of parts approximately 3-4 hours. I set the temperature and run the timer. I do have to start the unit twice because timer only runs for 90 minutes. I like this unit especially because of the timer. Most units only go to 30 minutes and as I mentioned it goes 90 minutes. I would recommend this product. The sizes depends on your needs.

I've found so many uses for this cleaner, from sharpening stones to jewelry to even small leather items. I keep the basin about 3/4 of the way full of plain water, then put whatever I'm cleaning in a sealed sandwich bag with soapy water or cleaner and squeeze out all the air, then drop the bag in the water in the cleaner. The ultrasonic cleaner does its thing and the main water doesn't get contaminated.It has become a permanent fixture on my workbench.
